深厚的文學功底使莉亞獲得了哈佛大學的文學學士學位。由于隸屬于哈佛大學社會研究專業，她同時還輔修了英語，這使得她對社會學和整個西方文學充滿了獨特的思維視角和人文情懷。她閱讀廣泛、觀察細膩，并抽出許多時間去世界各地生活和旅行，豐富的閱歷和見識使得她成為學生們最喜愛的導師和伙伴。

在學生們尋求理想大學目標這一漫長旅程中，莉亞總能陪伴左右，提供支持，幫助學生并為他們提供資深建議。她認為申請的過程是一個絕佳機會，讓學生們可以進行人生反思、目標界定、內省、計劃籌謀、發掘自身潛能、勇敢邁出許多個“第一步”。她非常熱愛升學指導教育事業，在這個學生們最為關鍵的人生發展階段，她為能夠給學生提供支持和幫助而感到熱血澎湃。

She earned her B.A. from Harvard in Social Studies, an interdisciplinary honors major, with a minor in English. For her thesis, she analyzed the use of second wave feminist theory in Dove brand’s marketing “Campaign for Real Beauty.” As an undergrad, she served as a peer counselor, helping students who called or dropped in to talk through difficult experiences and referring them to appropriate campus resources. She then went on to receive her M.F.A. from UCLA in Film Directing, and currently works part- time as a documentary editor. She is passionate about storytelling in all forms, and especially loves stories that challenge stereotypes and avoid simple conclusions. She reads widely and spent most of her early post-college years living and traveling abroad. These days, she enjoys starting her morning by sipping tea on the front porch.

In high school, she was on student government, played sports, and acted in theater. She loves helping students through the process of figuring out what they want from college. She views the application process as an opportunity for reflection, goal- defining, introspection, planning, discovery, taking those first steps – and this personal development stage is her favorite part of working with students. Her areas of expertise include anything in film, writing, directing, and the arts.
