從以學術嚴謹著稱的普林斯頓大學畢業后，科林曾先后在中國和紐約工作和生活過一段時間，后又赴芝加哥大學攻讀MBA。

在中國，科林曾在一家非營利性機構工作，幫助縮小城市教育和鄉村教育的不平等差距。在中國農村待了一段時間后，他搬到了北京，幫助學生申請大學本科和研究生項目。

Collin is passionate about supporting students in realizing their true potential--both on and off the college application page. After graduating from Princeton with an BA in Anthropology, he lived and worked in China and New York before heading to the University of Chicago for his MBA. He has lived, worked, and studied in a bunch of different places--from Egypt to China to New York to Tokyo to Chicago to India and now to San Francisco.

In China, he first worked at a non-profit, helping close the urban-rural education inequality gap. After his stint in rural China, he moved to the big city (Beijing), working with students hoping to attend college and graduate programs in the United States to make those dreams a reality. While in New York he worked as a management consultant, supporting Fortune 500 pharmaceutical companies improve their strategic processes, systems, and decision-making. Collin applied these lessons in support of new ventures during his MBA while working at Japan’s largest e-commerce platform, Rakuten, where he worked on market entry strategy for its new product development department. During his time at Rakuten, Collin supported in planning and launching a global expansion strategy for two new product lines.

After he finished his MBA at the University of Chicago, he then went to work at Tesla as part of its Leadership Development Program. He just recently moved to Apple, where he works on the battery team. He has supported students since he graduated from college himself, and is able to work with students off all backgrounds and interests.

Collin knows that applications are all about putting one's best foot forward and in his free time, Collin likes to exercise, relax with his cat, and attempt new recipes (most disastrously) to feed his friends and family.
